Sr. Engineer Design & Tool Room

Position: Sr. Engineer Design & Tool Room

       Location: Chennai (RPL-VI)

Salary: 25-30 K

Experience: 3-4 Years

Qualification:  Diploma (CIPET)/TRTC/IGTR (Full Time)

Job Responsibilities:

         1. Plans and reviews the daily schedule of Tool room related activities

         2. Reviews various tool designs as per customer specification and standards

         3.   Reviews day to day tool room activities to monitor the progress of work

         4.   Attends to various RFQs/Queries for technical related issues (Tool technical data) for all plants

         5.   Assists marketing team wrt tool costing, development time and feasibility report to address customer queries and quotations

         6.   Attends review meetings with  D&D for identifying and addressing various tool related issues as well status update of tool development as per plan, projected timeline, quality and cost

         7.   Attends to customer specific meetings for addressing tool feasibility and related issues

         8.   Provides technical information related to tool specification, drawings, 3D design and tool design approval to outsourced vendor

         9.   Attends daily review meeting with Plant Head to update the status on tool room activities and discuss any related issues

       10.   Follows up with vendor for progress of tool development

       11.   Coordinates with production team on regular basis to ensure smooth functioning of tool as well increase productivity

       12.   Assists quality team on various dimensions and specifications related to articles/components

       13.   Reviews daily breakdown list of tools received from production department to initiate necessary actions thereby supporting smooth production activities

       14.   Approves BOD drawings to be used by purchase for outsourcing vendors

       15.   Interacts with purchase department to ensure timely delivery of raw material required for tools

       16.   Coordinates with maintenance department to ensure smooth functioning of machines associated with tool room

       17.   Prepares monthly MIS report on tool room performance on defined parameters

       18.   Monitors and controls maintenance activities of tools

       19.   Attends to CFT meetings for productivity enhancement and efficiency
